THE BRAND

GoRetro is a fashion brand based in Zagreb, Croatia since 2015. We produce stylish clothing and exquisite leather apparel from superior materials. Our products are inspired by tradition and handmade for the modern gentleman. At GoRetro, we combine retro aesthetics with contemporary styles to create a blend of the old and new, with a personal touch.

THE FOUNDER

The main creative power behind the brand is Tomislav Macan, founder of GoRetro. A true Agramer at heart, Tomislav spends countless hours in his workshop crafting leather goods from premium materials.

THE MATERIALS

All our products are made from naturally tanned and hand dyed leather produces in Italy. Our leather comes from the neck area of the cow, where the hide is especially soft and durable. When they arrive at our shop, the cowhide sheets come in different sizes, from 1.1 to 2.8 m². Due to natural leather processing, all our products will become more intricate and appealing as they age.

THE PROCESS

Our process is based in leatherworking tradition and applies the latest in fashion technology. The following is a breakdown of our process.

1. First we check the raw leather for blemishes and process the sheets it into smaller pieces.
2. Then we cut the leather sheets into segments using molds.
3. Afterwards we thin the leather to ensure consistent width.
4. Then we tailor the inner lining.
5. Next we assemble the leather segments with the inner lining and form the product.
6. Finally, we proudly engrave the leather with our logo and perform a quality check.
